WJEQ, WMQZ, WNLF FM RADIO STATIONS
1. The following jobs were filled during this time period:
Sales Manager, Account Executive, Production Director, News Director and Morning Drive Disc Jockey.
2. With the exception of our Account Executive position, all other positions were filled from our part-time employment pool. The recruitment sources used for the Account Executive position were on-air announcements, current employees, (Greg Huston )NAACP, (Melinda O’Connell) ADECCO Employment Services, (Placement Office) Western Illinois University, (Belinda Carr) Gwendolyn Brooks Cultural Center (a source used to recruit African American men and women), (Lisa Havens) newspaper ad in “Macomb Journal”, Illinoisskillsmatch.com, and Illinois Broadcasters Association.
3. Three account executive positions were filled by the following sources: employee referral – 1 position and ADDECO Employment Services – 2 positions.
4. The station interviewed 1-African American Male, 5-Caucasian Males and 6-Caucasian Females.
5. The total number of people referred by each recruitment source were: on-air announcements – 0, current employees – 1, NAACP – 0, ADECCO Employment Services – 11, Western Illinois University – 0, Gwendolyn Brooks Cultural Center – 0, Illinoisskillsmatch – 3, “Macomb Journal” – 1, and Illinois Broadcasters’ Association – 0.
6. Our outreach initiatives completed during the reporting period were our Internship Program with Western Illinois University, participation in the Illinois Broadcasters’ Association’s “Outreach Program”, and participating in “Communiversity” at Western Illinois University.
